KENNINGS - are compound (two) word metaphors that rename the item/person.
For example:
the wind: cloud shaper
beautician: hair sculptor
liar: word bender
foul shot expert: basket blaster
sinner: ill doer
someone who talks a lot: word fountain
a grammatical problem: a grammar-Grendel
CAESURA - is a pause in a line of Old English verse; it creates the effect of anticipation/delivery

ALLITERATION - is the repetition of the initial consonant sounds in two or more words that in close proximity.
For example: The slippery snake slithered silently through the sand.
