This article serves as both research and wake-up call -- every senior considering college (which should be every senior) needs to sharpen his or her focus and think about the cost/benefit ratio of post-high school education.
The article helps us segue into the College Application Narrative, one of the three major process essays you will write in this class. It needs proof for its statements, rather than mere vague generalizations and laundry lists of accomplishments.

You need to print out and bring in a copy of ANY college application essay you have already done--even if you have already been accepted to college. If you don't have one, you should begin the pre-writing stage of "thoughts collection." It can be on this prompt:
